If you've opened a cash LISA within the last year could you close it now and only lose the government bonus or does it have to have been open for a full year?

You can withdraw money before the year is up and will have to pay penalty.
Normally you would lose more than the government bonus and would get back less than you put in but the penalty has been reduced (from 25% to 20%) until next April0
