Can you cancel a new contract without penalty?
I signed up for the deal that was featured in a recent weekly email (Three, via Fonehouse) but within a couple of days decided it was not right for me. I telephoned Three retentions, and they told me that I would have to pay a 75 pound cancellation fee. Surely this is not right? This on the fourth day after placing the order, the first day on which it would be possible, if I chose, to port my number over to them.

There's a 'cooling off' period within which cancellation is penalty free when the purchase is made remotely online or by phone, but not for in-store purchases.Evolution, not revolution1
