Broadband Cashback and when the order is cancelled and reinstated

Hi guys,
Would like some advice...
- Last year I applied for an emerican express card with some cashback at the account opening. Short story, the card was declined. A few days later I receive the card at my address. This did not link to the cashback.
- Back in march I used QuidCo to set up a Fiber package with EE for my partner's house. After the order was applied for, it was cancelled in the grounds that there was something wrong with the provider not releasing the line I was called from EE a few days later to set up the service again. It appears that cashback was never tracked and this seems to have been a 'phone sale' where the order got tracked to the EE adviser.
Fast forward, last Sunday I used a Money saving Expert link to set up a new shell energy Fiber package. The order was cancelled and I was contacted by phone saying they could not port my number and would need to set up a new one instead. I logged in to my account to see that order is marked as 'cancelled by me' and therefore they wil reinstate a new order that probably doesn't qualify for the £100 credit on the account after 3 months. I checked money saving expert and currently there is a £75 credit offer. I reapplied through that and waiting to see if that is cancelld too.
Is this a common occurence or a scam from the companies to avoid paying the cashback or the affiliate? What is the right thing to do?

Thanks

Unfortunately your broadband order was cancelled due to an issue porting your landline.
We will replace your order as soon as possible to ensure your service is switched over as soon as possible. We'd like to know if you still want to retain your landline number , or can we assign a new landline number? This comes at no extra cost. Please let us know by calling us on 0330 094 5801 or reply to this email.

What i was saying that cashback follows the order . If that is then cancelled as your has been then cashback is in effect cancelled . New order would need to go via cashback offer not the ISP .

The Quidco/TCB deals normally require that the transaction is fully automated tracked by cookies.
It's usually better to cancel and re-order but that isn't always possible (same outcome again) / desirable (credit check)
A deal direct with the provider is different and I would simply check that the order confirmation has the offer explicitly listed.0 -
I placed the new order, again using the MSE link and its due to go live in two days. I remember on the cancelled one something about money saving expert deal, but this new one says nothing, other than the speed (no details on the contract or the length). I also never received the order acknowledgment email with the service T&C's - I just had an email two days later confirming my starting date and DD instruction.
I'm not impressed. Will try to call them0
