His maths is correctlynnbenton2001 said:Hi JonesMUFCforever.
Glad for those few who were aware but that really sucks and is why I am just trying to warn people who may not be aware of the changes. We have lived in Spain for the last three years so these rules had passed us by and none of my friends here were aware.I agree that the amount in our case is negligible, although I think you need to redo the maths IvanOpinion! Just over £5 but just add up all those extras paid by several million people and it’s a nice little earner for the government!
Assuming you paid £80 originally thats £8 a year or 2.2p per day.
2.2p x 21 = 46p.
Please tell us how you work out its a fiver.
OP, any lingering doubt about the forums maths skills now? 😉0 -
OMG! Slight typo - agree should have been £105 not £101 (10 years) BUT what is the matter with you people - again gone right off the original point. You obviously have too much time on your hands and this behaviour is the reason I don’t do Twitter or Facebook! Was just trying to help, but now bowing out as I have much better things to do here in the sunshine in Spain!0

Strictly speaking, mathematics is an umbrella (inclusive) term - and since arithmetic belongs firmly under the heading of mathematics, it isn't incorrect.NoodleDoodleMan said:Feeling pedantic this morning, these number crunching exercises are actually arithmetical, not mathmatical !!!
Getting my battle bowler firmly on head..................incoming !!!
Firmly wearing my 2.1 BA (Hons) Communications/Linguistics mortar board today. You only need to be competent with Arithmetic to do the number crunching here.Maths, as you say, includes other disciplines, however no knowledge of Algebra, Calculus and Trigonometry etc. is needed to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
