It takes a few working days to arrive. At least 3, may be 4 or 5.

Thanks, its my first draw and win.
  • Hi,
    from NS&I,
Having your prizes paid straight into your bank account is quick, easy and safe. If you win, we’ll let you know the good news by email or text message. You’ll then normally receive your prize money in your bank account by the 7th working day of the month.

I suspect it's "quick" compared to waiting for a warrant to arrive in the post*, then trekking to your bank, queuing up to pay it in, then waiting for it to clear. And quicker for them to not have to print the warrant, put it in an envelope and queue up in their local PO with a load of envelopes.

(* of course, that's stopping any time soon, as I'm sure everyone knows.)

For reference, my last two payments were received on 10th August and 8th September.

Are payments of winnings to the NS&I Direct Saver any quicker?
  • Hi,
seems you don't get that option.
    From NS&I,
    You can choose to either:

Have your prizes paid directly to your bank account,

    or,

Automatically reinvest your prizes into more Bonds.

I have selected my prizes to be paid into my nominated account and my nominated account is my Direct Saver.

My previous prize was paid into my bank account on the 10th but I have since changed my nominated account.
