I think it may be just a time thing, but it does also seem to be an ip address thing, my friend (who has insurance) used my internet to find a quote and it tripled his as well, but when he did it at his own house later on, he got a better deal than the one he's already got!Will be session / cache that you didn't clear or they keep at their end.Fraud measures trigger for fraud issues e.g. mentioning/deleting points on the license, accidents, different addresses etc. Trying different cars shouldn't.Don't worry about the phone call thing, just grab a few reg plates for car types you are considering from the likes of ebay or autotrader and go through it with them on the phone
