Tesco Account Closure Letter

I'm expecting an account closure letter from Tesco, but only because I asked them to close it.   To be fair that account was very much dormant anyway, although it had a small amount in it.

It's a shame they don't do the same with their savings accounts. You can't even close online, need to call up so they just sit there empty. At least the current account is at the top of the list.
Based on this thread though I wonder how long Tesco will be around in the current account market

For closing our savings accounts we resorted to good old paper, envelope and stamp.  Worked fine.

Just had my latest credit reports and there has been a change to my file - my Tesco current account is reported as closed - 3 Oct for TU & Exp and 4th Jan for Eq, not according to my Tesco on line account it isn't !

Try using it by putting a £1 in?
