Hi,
What is the cheapest way to renew my subscription to Microsoft 365 Family?
£79.99 via Microsft.
£61.99 via Amazon.
or is there a better option?

Are your subs running out very soon?   the reason I ask is that Argos seem to sell a years subscription for £39.99 a couple of times a year (https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/office-365-family-up-to-6-users-multiple-pcsmacs-tablets-and-phones-1-year-ps3999-free-collection-at-argos-3548302).
You can stack the subscriptions as well for up to 5 years (My subscription current runs out in February 2024).
I don't know of any other way of getting it cheaper - maybe you might have to subscribe monthly until the Argos deal comes up again?

You can sometimes pick it up significantly cheaper on eBay.

Do you really need Family?  Personal is far cheaper and behaves in exactly the same way, the only real caveat being each computer (up to five) has to belong to the same Microsoft account, whereas with Family its up to six different accounts on five different devices each, but realistically how many people are going to have 30 computers at home?

    Hi,
I only have one PC, laptop and wife uses iPad. I did not realise that these can all work via the same personal subscription. (DOH)
Many thanks for the top tip
    £59.99 via Microsft.
    £52.99 via Amazon.
    £37.99 via eBay.

You need to be careful on eBay that you're buying a licence that you can use with your own account.  A lot of the dirt cheap ones require you to use a specific username and password to get the Office so you may see its registered to Joe Bloggs, 221B Baker Street and will be so for the rest of the time you use it.  The more expensive ones will just email you a product key you can activate to your own account.  Read descriptions carefully.

Just curious - is this a problem?

I didn't say it was a problem.  Just something to be aware of.

You also said "be careful" and as the owner of one of these accounts, I just wondered what there is to be careful of.
I bought one last march which still works but couldn't find the password when I wanted to put it on the new PC, so I splashed out £1.99 on another, which has worked seamlessly for over a week now!!! 😁

There could potentially be something in Microsoft terms saying that accounts cannot be sold, and the account you just purchased could be removed.
