Travel up travel agency

Just thought I would warn fellow travellers about travel up I bought flights from London stansted to Dubai unfortunately emirates airlines cancelled the flights so I rung travel up to ask for a full refund travel up want a admin fee £50 I said no what about other flights from London Heathrow got the same dates different times paid the fare difference £110 had a great 28 days in Dubai on arrival to the airport terminal 3 Dubai I was told my return ticket was invalid it had been refunded even though I had a receipt and printed ticket for my flight home in the end emirates airlines wouldn’t help me because it was booked by travel up in the end had to buy a new 1 way ticket cost £377 so ended up paying 2 times for a economy ticket in total £ 890 tried to ring travel up customer service just ignoring calls please don’t use this company very dishonest it was lucky I had money to get home or could still be stranded in Dubai

    Sorry to hear about your experience with Travel Up.  
     I am having problems with them too but I joined a great site on Face Book started by people who have all had problems with TU
    called “TravelUp (unofficial) Unfair Fees”.  (I hope I haven’t breached the forum rules by mentioning this)  Also, you could try the credit card company or bank
    you used to pay with and ask for a chargeback (you have 120 days from departure to lodge a claim) if you used a debit card or section 75 if a credit card (5 years to claim).  The Face Book page has some really great advice on how to provide evidence and get your money back.  Good luck.
