Nice pic AR, what plant is it with the brown bit? I don't recognise it, but it's a tad close up for me. Probably nothing to worry about anyway. However, if the plant has loads of leaves, and it won't make the plant look lop sided, just remove that one to be on the safe sideGulp, nearly passed out at the price of the anti squirrel feeder, must be doubly annoying when it is a flopIt was booster jab this morning, so went and watered the volunteer pots while I was out and before my arm drops off
. The Californian poppy seedlings I transplanted seem to have settled in & are looking like they've taken now
Still hot & sunny with a cooling breeze here, and the LG lettuce sown last week is showing green shoots, mind you another, earlier sowing is still a "no show" I do wonder if they get scoffed even as they germinate? Here is one of my red pears, mislabelled, of course. The foliage is looking very healthy this year. And now it will probably die overnightThe

I just scared myself a little looking at the range of diseases and how it's important to catch them early.I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.2 -
Just to say. In the East Midlands, we are yet again have the "nothing" weather where you feel like you are inside a white box!
I worked in the Met Office in my younger days and we learnt that this is called Anticyclonic Gloom.
(I have just come back from the blue skies of Central Asia, so I am noticing it even more for the past 2 days.)6 -
Annemos, yep non-descript weather here too. North Derbyshire .
A balmy 13 degrees when the sun finally came out, about 4pm.4 -
It's so cold indoors, I am considering going to bed early!2

Weird weather again. 12C in the morning and chilly with wind, sun came out but not really hot. It has gone from 12 to 25 in a day!Well, my seedlings aren't growing well at all, the cold and wet and the hot and dry I think they are afraid to come out!The ground is so hard I can't even weed and that so shortly after being to wet to walk on so I don't know. The birds seem happy though. May have to water a patch of the lawn so the Blackbirds can get some worms for their young. The musk rose is suffering being now in a bed with so much that has grown since I moved in it's competing for what water there is and the flowers going all to pot. Still smells nice while sitting under it though.I've been sorting out pots, planting up bits for the charity stall, bulbs now bagged to be planted again when I can dig out some more beds. Also for a couple of plants that will be moved out of the front garden. A Helebore is suffering badly, the walflowers were eaten by small snails - so the hedgehogs aren't doing their job - and it's a drought ridden plot. That will have to be in the autumn though now.Smart looking plan Arb, seems it will look really good. Can't wait to see the real thing.Next year?Don't worry about a bit of brown. If it gets bigger may have to cut it off. But strawberry leaves can go brown and crispy from the bottom up.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Aye I hope it's the diy and moving the feeder that's upset them. I'll give it a while and see what transpires. Mine was a touch cheaper than the link, but you buy cheap you buy twice, so I thought it'd work. If it doesn't pan out it's going back!
The diy is going that slowly I don't reckon it'll be done this week. The previous previous owners got some bladdy big sandstone stones from somewhere to use to secure the gate posts and it took the 2 of us to dig them up. One of them is hoooj! I think they're properly old, poss a bit off a church type old. It's a shame they couldn't stay where they were but they were in the wrong place entirely
That's a lovely ladybird pic Arb, you'll be aphid-free in no time
Hopefully your red pear didn't die overnight Farway, that does look delish
Will your musk rose be alright 2p?
Dry and still here, cool and cloudy round the clock no matter what the drunkards/apps say. It's crazy weather - I was talking to my cousin last night, and it's warmer with her by 0800 than it is here all day. And her lowest overnight low is higher than my highest day time tempSummat's gone wrong out there...

I can never get the order right! Anyway. Here’s some gardeny ones of pretty/interesting things. The blue flower was the bluest blue I’ve ever seen. My pic truly doesn’t do it justice.I oppose genocide. I support freedom of speech. I support freedom of assembly.7

There all from baccarat bill house. If you expend the 'rusty head girl' sculpture, all the back of her head is beautifully carved leaves
