Love your steps and stones Wort 😍 I might save that idea for if I get a new garden and looks like you've done a good job with the tidying.
I have recovered somewhat but the usual achy bits are still aching. Wish I knew what gave me respite last week. I haven't been able to go into the garden yet because the blackie is out feeding and some small birds and I want to encourage them back after they left in the drought last year. No toms aren't in yet. Everything I do takes so long now.
I had to wait and view the house link on my puter. It's a relief to know that mine will at least look better. And makes the house with the butterflies all over every surface look positively inviting!
Torn between finishing tidying up the garden and going out with the camera.
My forsythia is blooming well this year. I've had lots of practice at pruning them right, last garden had 2 big ones.
Congratulations on the courgette Farway. I tried the yellow ones a few years and they were picky to germinate or didn't grow. But yellow ones are delicious, look pretty in food and don't need peeling. I watch to see what happens to yours and may try again.
Less good photo. That looks really healthy.
Right up and at em, see what today holds 🙂 taking the photo reminds me that I need to get some garden paint!
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Back into land of the living again, my lurgy was short lived, spent yesterday slumped in front of TV thinking I should be out in the glorious sunshine. Anyway, some lemsips and a night "sweating it out" has worked wonders on me, back to "My Normal" which is less than it was years ago, but I'll take it thank you
I watched GW while at death's door, another apple orchard, growing all types and grafting his own. and his trees dripping with fruit. Just asked AI, link for nursery is I've not looked hard, but the buy unusual apple urge is itching, bet they are in the "How Much"? category
Loved your garden Wort, nice and cheerful.
Nice little tom plants 2P, hope they do well for you, you said out into soil, isn't it a bit early for that, or have I misunderstood?
Managed a tiny spot of gardening already, put out the broad beans to continue hardening up, couldn't get any enthusiasm to do it yesterday. They are now starting to grow, so if the sun keeps going, maybe by next week end they will be suitable to pot into final tubs
Spring onions are now growing after just lurking, long way to go before going out though
The yellow courgette is opening up seed leaves, no sign of it's sibling yet.
The dozen or so varieties of tom sown last weekend are just coming up, I like the way my own saved, smeared, seeds always comes up😀. Must be doing something right, and highlights all the flim flam on saving own tom seeds is not strictly required
And even young Stevie Wonder tomato is starting to become a teenage Paul Robeson, seed leaves are now open & he is upright at last
Job for today is find out dilution rate for very weak fertiliser to add to carp compost with struggling seedlings. I know it 50 parts per million of nitrogen, but what is the measured millilitres per litre? One for my mate AI
Seems "trick" is use the very weak mix at every watering. I intend making two litre pop bottle up & use that to start with.
Just checked AI, it's 5mL of MiracleGro to 7 L of water, I have MG, hence my reference. Looks like 3 pop bottles then.

Morning all, (just, it's 1157) on World Water Day.
I've been messing on in the garden but I'm in now as it's clouded over. It's not that warm you know, even if they say it's 10' and sunny. My grass is now sans thistles and mare's tails until someone presses the Overnight Regeneration button *sigh *
The 3 diddy pics are what it looked like on my phone, so "inline" is useless then really eh. Ah well, know for next time. Thanks for Forsythia Less, stoopid brain wouldn't give me it 😏 I love your double daff, lovely and creamy looking, like it should smell of vanilla ice-cream 😀
Your garden looks in good shape 2p, and you've daisies ☺️ Hopefully you've recovered a bit more now? I spotted your seedlings in the sun on your table, did the sun perk them up a bit? 🤞Funny I was thinking of lifting some tom plants when I was in morries yesterday, but I left them. They had sweetpeas for £1 each and I left them too, but I nearly didn't.
Blooms and blossoms central round your way eh wort. I'm another fan of your stony steps, and look a the colour of your sky 😃
No Chuckle Brothers this morning then? IIRR Dusty has grandkids and Farway is poorly? I'll have to break my new habit and come on tomorrow morning before work. Get well soon Farway, and are you down a rabbit hole looking up diggers for your friend's garden Dusty ha haa!
OT well they reckon 11'c now but it bluddy ain't. FL is 7' which is a touch optimistic too tbh. Cloudy and only a tiny breath of breeze, which is a !!!!!! cos I've me bedding out. Ah well.
Save draft, refresh - glad you're back to normal now Farway, hurrah for Stevie Wonder —> Paul Robeson transformation. I must go look at my flimflamless toms, I've a feeling I'm behind already, again. I'm deffo gonna try your dilute MG trick, thanks very much 😎

Because it's so low a dilution, 5ml is tiny, I'm going to measure 3 1/2 pop bottles into my watering can, mix in the 5mL and then tip back into the pop bottles.
Second thoughts, fill watering can, about 2 gallons, add [AI checked] 6 to 7mL of MG, mix and transfer to other storage, pop bottles or milk containers, etc. Use for every watering
Just bear in mind, stronger is not better, you
cannotshould not feed steak pies to babiesAnyone stuck or in doubt AI will give you the measurements for your situation.

Boohoo it's clouded over and gone chilly and grey 😥 but it's been a good innings.
Got the bird table cleaned (more weird mould under the legs) and painted with stuff, the compost heap box now properly green and it stinks. Rat? or rotting food? Hope it's not a rotting rat 😯
Toms still inside, they are only babies after all but in a few days. My back garden is very sheltered and warm so I can take liberties.
Managed to get out but too busy for much bird watching. However I was being watched
And the blossom is out - should be good sloe gin when the time comes 😀
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

YBE: I love your double daff, lovely and creamy looking, like it should smell of vanilla ice-cream 😀
Sadly not, barely smells, unlike big yellow trumpets…😐️ One or two on their own are quite nice, but en masse they're a bit much…(same could be said of big trumpets though😁) It's a very good year for daffs overall - clumps that I thought had traveled to (Stevie) Wonderland (© Farway) have blossoms again this year🙂…
Misty thru middle of day, but return of hazy sun and broken cloud at the end of the day, plus moon lying on its back again… And bats flying at dusk… Oh well, back to cold rain again soon 😣 (or we'll soon be complaining about drought…😅)

Morning all, on whatever Day it is (I’m only on my phone).
Are you laid up with the sciatica Dusty or have the grandkids buried you in a compost heap like you’re at the beach 🫣Cissie’s very upset. Adored Grandson got caught last week running his car on red diesel. He only got caught cos he was visiting a friend in Donegal (they’re much hotter on checks that side cos the tax on petrol+diesel is different and it’s A Big Deal.) He’s been doing it for years but that thing that’s happening in those hot countries has pushed a lot of people to run on red and in the South they’re not sticking it. Also, everyone keep your fingers crossed for a nice Spring/Summer for Cissie cos she’s not for paying the heating oil price out of badness. She rang about a wee topup and thought the guy was having her on - 300 litres is £595! She’ll be out on the streets with a placard next.
Hope your alright out there taff?
Oh and did anyone see anything of the Northern Lights the other night? Apparently there was another good display if you were in the right area. @pinkpoppy @wortOT nice and mild out there this morning, and dry with it. It says 4’ but I don’t think that’s right. Hardly a breath of wind and nice high clouds, it’s a lovely Spring day 😊

Are you laid up with the sciatica Dusty or have the grandkids buried you in a compost heap like you’re at the beach 🫣It's Septic Tank Emptying day, and special, 'cos it only comes once every 2 years, and costs a whopping £300. 😭
Sorry I've been AWOL. It's nothing serious, just pressure of getting stuff done while we can. Yesterday, we planted a damson, which flowers at the same time as our remaining plum, so maybe a photo of blossom later. I saw the sheep eating our pear tree, also flowering, but no great loss there! 😛
I'll catch up later. Good to see Farway is OK after mini-lurgy and I spotted wort's pretty garden, but I've not read properly. Soon smallest grandchild will be with us, so that might be quite a lot later. Therefore, 2 photos:
First, I caught the sunset on Saturday, but only just…Had to stand on a chair!
Then I noticed George had parked a dung spreader beside the right-hand tree, hence its partly angular outline.🙄
And did someone mention primroses?

MeteeroogluiWeather Day YBE,Happy Septic tank emptying day to Dusty, I have "Will my garden waste wheelie bin get collected day" tomorrow, hope so because it gets frustrating having to keep on & on. I suppose I could empty the garden waste into some of the pot holes?👿
No Northern Lights seen here, and today is hazy with colder weather due midweek, probably in time for the blossom to open
Dusty, I've wanted a damson, and a Gage, but never room. If your pear eating sheep are stuck, I have another useless one they can snack on, it's just waiting for the frost before the blossom opens
Love those primroses, I think they would do well in my grass, but I can never get them going, despite planting plugs etc.
What is also waiting to burst open is my Honesty, not any old Honesty mind, this is ex Dusty white honesty seed. I did think it was from Horticulture DGD seeds, but hers were purple, the white is Dusty. Pic once they open,
Do they just stop cars and dip the tank for Red diesel Blue? I thought latest was running them on old chip fat? Heating oil, remember those far off days when it was cheaper to have oil heating than gas? That was so long ago, even before it was cheaper to run a diesel car than petrol and electric buses were replaced by diesel ones. At least once horses come back our roses & rhubarb will do well 😈
Less said YBE: I love your double daff, lovely and creamy looking, like it should smell of vanilla ice-cream 😀
Sadly not, barely smells, unlike big yellow trumpets…😐️ One or two on their own are quite nice, but en masse they're a bit much…
My multi headed daffs have slight whiff of toilet cleaner about them, luckily they are not bog standard 😁Boom Boom!
Good luck with smallest GC Dusty, push chair all set to go? Difference in ages, news last night of my oldest GC has landed a job for when he leaves Bristol Uni, no idea who with or what, all security checks and things, probably have to kill me if he said, he did say requirement was driving licence, so some advice dribbled into him was worthwhile
Gardening, I mixed the weak fertiliser up, you can see the water has something in it because it is slightly cloudy, used some on my the toms, including Paul Robeson & Stevie Wonder, will I get Floyd Paterson?
