twopenny said:Thanks for the rose advice Farway. It's a rose that always grows outwards too much. Partly because of any shade because the same happened in my last garden. I think I'll cut it back nearer spring to bush it up some.Something that turned up as I stopped for a snack while waiting for Kingfishers that weren't there. Yes, I shared the snack

The roses will do fine, plus leaving will let yous pick the vigorous shoots, or notI spy a robin Christmas card + AI in the making, go on, give it a go.Meanwhile, here's what I saw

That made me laugh.
It reminds me of the day when you had good Christmas ads.

I always feared for that mouse 😲
AI will have to wait until I've fixed the fire, the toilet, the light fitting, been to the tip- I've forgotten the rest. Then the doctor, dentist, hair, selling a table and sewing machine.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Super moon pics this evening, as what was supposed to be rain turned out to be clear (well, maybe a bit hazy) skies

Nice one 🙂
I see the beast of Exmoor has got as far as your neck of the woods 😉I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Wow, those are spooky images, Less!
Most places seem to have their local beast. Where we lived before, it was related to a very specific place: 'The Beast of Brassknocker Hill.' A good alliterative ring to that!
Here, we have some wild pigs, but I've never seen one.I don't think we'll see too many adverts for real fires nowadays, 2p. Far too dangerous, and also far superior if/when the leccy goes down!
We have the oil boiler, but that needs power.Speaking of oil, that wonderful company Boilerjuice had their robot ring at some unearthly hour to tell me they'd rescheduled our delivery to today. Naturally, they don't inhabit their offices at that time, so I couldn't ring back and complain while I was grumpy.
The oil was scheduled for the 13th, so I can guess how busy the suppliers are. Will it fit? Probably, but they'd better not fine me if it doesn't.
I couldn't see the Supermoon for cloud yesterday, but I took pictures of clouds before and when it was due to appear. When life gives you lemons etc...

No animal triggered the camera last night. The cat remains unidentified, but we're of the opinion it belongs here rather than 4 miles away. We'll see the suspected owners today, anyway.
Finally, I'm extremely impressed by Farway's AI interpretation of black & white puss. It's uncanny the way it's appearance looks so 'right' in a completely different pose. Scary too, because the scene's entirely fictitious. The lines between real and unreal continue to blur....

I wondered if peops would spot it...
We do have a local beast, supposedly, seen in local forests, and in the form of giant footprints in snow in the garden one year (well, at least I thought they were convincing...). My moon not really super, as taken too long after rising...and apologies for fuzziness, wish I could work out a quick and simple way of resizing...Dustyevsky said:Wow, those are spooky images, Less!

We need one of those glow in the dark balls! Or probably several, because I'm sure they'd still get lost in the thickets and brambly bits of the garden...)7 -
Fair weather, in as much as it's not raining, sharp frost though.Nice spooky moon pics Less, I had to go back to find the Beast. No Beast around here I'm aware of, supposed to be white squirrels nearby, but I've never seen oneI was on look out for Moon shot, but trees in the way as usual.I did spot what I assume to be the Devon Opera House in Dusty's moon free shot
2P, I remember that advert, like you say, back in the day when ads made you laugh and not chuck stuff at the screen. Because I'm YT & Prime all I seem to get is some couple mopping floors or washing dishes, all the time grinning madly.
AI is coming on leaps & bounds, if time, look at this, and as he says, it's just the beginning. Warning, contains mild profanitiesDustyevsky said:Finally, I'm extremely impressed by Farway's AI interpretation of black & white puss. Now one that is a real pic, taken the other day as I mooched about the damp garden, not quite caught the rain drops as intended

Scary stuff Farway. Wonder what it will lead to re people frantic because they've believed what they see.
Will make life interesting again though, maybe.
Like the blue sky Dusty. Reminds me what it should look like.
It's vile out there at the moment. Went from grim, cold, dark and wet to wild winds, cold and wet. There is no way you can put a positive spin on it.
Lost internet connection on my 'puter.
Think I might go for a swim and sauna where it's bright and warm. Not sure if it's safe to drive through.
Hope to be back later 😵💫

Farway said:I did spot what I assume to be the Devon Opera House in Dusty's moon free shot :Indeed, I sing in there regularly.
Doesn't tend to be opera, though! For years, I thought Nessun Dorma was a camper van from Japan.
Started your AI vid, but had to go to a celebration in memory of a neighbour - one of the good ones, unfortunately.
Lovely raindrops. Much lovelier than the ones here, making it dusk in the middle of the afternoon.

Hope to be back later 😵💫People believed what they saw in July 1969. So did I. Now, I'm less sure.
Even more so with 9/11. By Covid, I was awake and spotted.... 'issues.' Can't say more, but what scares me most nowadays, is the nuanced psychological stuff. I fell for that too, for a while, before asking, 'Who wants people outraged? Who benefits if folk feel demoralised?' Nothing's black & white any more, only shades of....oh, burger, they've ruined that expression too!
The pictures were all taken within one hour yesterday afternoon. Today, as you say, no such variability. The Putin 'puter problems were Cloudflare...again. MSE was unreachable for a brief period, but it was all, ahem, 'maintenance.'
EDIT: On a completely different tack, my Uchiki Kuri squash are not keeping as well as their more traditional butternut cousins, which are Hunter. (AGM) It's been good to have them in the same location and see the difference. The Hunter were harvested later too. Food for thought and next year.
