Is that true is it, lobsters are insect family? I suspect if I looked it up that'd be another wormhole...
And yes I did miss fundamental  Stoopid brain!
Here's another business idea though, being serious. If the vegetablists can have sausages and bacon, could somebody please sort out root vegs for diabetics? I made a shepherd's pie yesterday for tonight and tomorrow's dinner and I did it on auto pilot. Now there's not a while lot of carrots in there but still, I'd sooner have more if they were 'redesigned'Thankyouplease. And if this could go before 'small wedding party venues' on the list I'd be grateful.
My housing board page still says something has gone wrong. While the mods are messing on with that I'll put a pic of Cissie. Only temporarily mind.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.3 -
This is one of my favourite pictures, because she'll not smile for a photo for badness.
It was taken at her birthday party last year, the lad she's talking to is Beloved Cousin's son's best friend. She loves da yoofs cos the life they can live at their age is so different to what she could. She loves their stories and misdeeds and energyI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.5 -

I knew there was something wrong with loo roll, it got a lot thinner so you had to use more bits. Can't even go back to cutting up newspaper now. While on the subject, neighbours are putting in a second toilet for the two of them. They don't care about a garden, aren't fit enough and know nothing about the plants. My cuttings from their 'tidying' of dark clematis have all grown in a pot. Growth has slowed and I'm debating whether to split them up or leave them be till Spring.........there are no roots showing through the hole in the bottom.I've got my eye open for some Anemone Blanda that have spread in the pebbles. They rooted out many probably thinking they are weeds. But they don't hang around and chat like the rest of us so I need to catch them at the right time.Haven't eaten lobster since I played with some on the Great Barrier Reef. Quite friendly little devils and lovely colours. What's this with carrots Bluey. Oddly couldn't find them on the Duk version but they seem to be fine as long as you're not eating pounds of them. It's blowing a stiff Northerly here but with sunshine so you think you should go out but don't want to. The darn infection is rolling around in my body still. ENT going round in circles and I'm not sleeping enough so if I seem vague that's it.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I do read along , but forget to mention as by the time I reach the end I’ve forgotten what / who said what. So my apologies.
Yesterday was mega windy and rainy, I got wet going to town , but had an hour after tea cutting back the evergreen clematis, the green bin was full ready for today’s collection.
Today is a mix of sun then heavy downpours, had to wait in Lidl till it slowed as it hailstoned 😳 still windy too. Heard rumour temps are back to 20 degrees next week.😑Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.5 -
YBE, nice to put a face to the name, Cissy looks a rum un.
Dusty I buy the loo roll from farm foods, with the duck on . The more packs of 18 you get the better value😉 usually share with my sisters, a pack each.
please don’t put me off chocolates with nuts in it. I’d rather not know some of the food tampering that’s going on, or I’d eat nothing.Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.5 -
That is a nice pic of Cissie, YBE, natural instead of posed. Looks like it was taken sneakily via a mirror
The site is playing silly beggars again - I usually look for things via Categories, but it keeps telling me I can't do that.'A watched potato will never chit'...3 -
Oh aye, lobsters are crustaceans, thanks Dusty. You're a swine Farway, I believed you saying insects. Fgs
You've played with them on the Great Barrier Reef 2p
I need more of that story...
Carrots - well all root veg really. One of the sites I was reading (no chance of remembering which one) said that if a veg grows underground you shouldn't eat it because you're eating it's energy store = sugar/glucose/starch/carbs. You're better off eating peas or peppers etc. And sweet potatoes are neither sweet nor potatoes - they're yams - so they're a wiser choice if you really can't live without chips. It's all very interesting actually.
We had hailstones here too wort, must be bluddy cold up there :brr: I think I'll try the little ducky loo roll next, I buy Tescos purple pack one but it's turned a bit papery so when I've used up my stash I'll need to find something new.
Yep the picture of Cissie was taken through the mirror pp. Beloved Cousin hired a melt-into-the-background photographer and that's my favourite pic from her birthday. The everybody-say-cheese photographers would never have worked. And yes she is a rum un. And a bu99er, and a flirtSo now yous have got a face for the stories
Lovely and dry and sunny and crisp out there this morning, I love this weather. If it stops like this I could be out all day perambulating Handsome Mk1I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4 -
What did you have as the topping for your shepherd's pie, YBE?? Cauliflower or celeriac mash is nice if you're avoiding white potatoes, or a mixture of cauliflower and sweet potato mash. Hopefully a few carrots won't do you any harm, especially if it's over a couple of nights. I'd put leek, peas, mushrooms and maybe a whizzed/chopped up courgette in it next time if you're worried. I always have a higher veg ratio to meat.
The site is still saying no to looking at things via Catergoriesbloomin' annoying.
It's not looking too bad a day, weatherwise, just a bit chilly.'A watched potato will never chit'...5 -

I note there's a more eco option, though, and that's to go bamboo. Yikes!
I hope they process it well.

I like being a 'melt into the background' photographer, but my pointy-shoot small camera made a mush of nephew's wedding recently.Posh phones outclass it now, especially on dull days.
Looks like it will be a mix of bright and dull here today, with rainy sprinkles. Last night it looked very dark over 2p's way, and we had an unpredicted downpour just before dark. Here's the last image I have from our estuary walk. It's something I may have posted before, but bears repeating.https://www.rhs.org.uk/biodiversity/robins-pin-cushionIt's nothing to worry about. I like the rose's contrasty thorns!
