Awful weather - typical Brits talk

Nope, another grey day here with still damp grass as there's no breeze or heat. Cool again. Lights on again.Yes, research yesterday and it may be that I can no longer get the parts or easily fixed. Sat in some lovely cars with fancy gadgets but really they are too big for what I need. In my price range it takes a lot of searching to find one someone has looked after. But all the sitting, worrying and walking has scuppered by hurty bits. If the weather wasn't so permenantly grim it would help.My climbing rose has suddenly developed dark brown leaves, don't know what it is but it's over half the bush. Dry at the roots possibily so I'll chuck a bucket of water over it and hope.Great news there Imp. Gotta love a surprise when you think all is lost. Makes it twice as good.Just resting today, a foray to dancing maybe. Could help, might not. Too wet to worry about cutting the grass.I'm a bit of a damp squib at the mo simply because the weather is continuously foul so beach is out, car probs mean I don't want to drive somewhere grey but lovely and I'm still eating winter meals in July!!Our photography group has a thing for 'Summer flowers' just when they are all passing over. Last time they did this theme it was a long drought - so it's going to be a challenge. And yes Bluey, I did think of nicking some off here

Yep it’s a buddleia. I’m absolutely-deffo-lutely sure I took a pic of the label but my phone has ejected it for not being swish enough, or something. I liked it
We did stop for a small libation at the sitooterie but it was far far too dear for a 2nd round - pint of cider and single G+T was £20.50 !!
You can have any of my photos 2p. If they end up somewhere famous and you make squillions you gotta promise me halfsies tho. Deal? Good look with car hunt, and stick hen’s teeth on your list while you’re thereI dunno what’s happened with that market, I really don’t. I think I’m in the same category as you and Farway on that one. Fingers crossed the dancing and/or rest helps your hurty bits 🤞🏻
Chicken poo is on my list then, storage tips noted. Petunias are going in my hanging basket and I’ll not be doing much else - that vampire nurse practitioner person took nearly an armful
OT no change. Muggy and dry and cloudy and a bit of breeze.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.8 -
Just take care of that arm Bluey - I had one bleed under the skin and ended up on pain killers and weeks rest because the nurse said just carry on as normal - which meant carrying a heavy shopping bag from the supermarket. Carry on is the same as 'just a small scratch' when it's more like being whacked with a bat!My pain I couldn't get rid off just vanished in a moment so I tried dancing and have yet more movement!Goodness knows what's going on but we'll seeJust about to look up more cars - I've seen a rose gold Mini that takes my fancy. I tend not to do grown up cars. I like to make a statementSo for todays excitement I took a photo of Morries flower emporium for your delictation. There are many more shelves from begining of summer but it dwindles now.No gardening, it's rained a couple of times again, and again, not enough to water but enough to make it too wet to do anything. Everyone's fed up with it.On the up side, my car starts in cool weather just fine.

My arm’s a queer colour and a bit sore this morning but that’s cos she was stabbing about trying to get my shy veins to play the game. Such is life.
Look at your swish morries 2p oooOOOoooMuch nicer than my one. Without sounding like a mental case - if/when we move from here I'll be putting 'near a nursery/gc/swish morries on my 'must have' list. Imagine your car starting fine in cool weather! That must be a big hint for the garage surely? Good news about renewed movement in your hurty bits.. I can't remember if I've said this before but have you got a proper sports physio anywhere near you? That is not medical advice. When I was in the rugby club they had a fellah to do the first team lads - he could address muscular and nerve-ular but not bone-ular, and the lads would sooner have lost an eye than lose him. That is just an interesting little story and not medical advice either
What'll you do with all those blackberries if they all ripen at once then Farway? Didn't you only plant that a couple of years ago?Maybe that’s an idea to keep the money coming in to Rottery Acres - a sensible garage. Cars that are fine really, bit toppy on the mileage maybe but have never been in a crash and cost a few/mid thousand quid. How hard is that?! Evidently that’s another thing I’m wrong about cos I don’t see anyone doing it already… makes sense to me though.
We got the bricks last night, and some extra somethings that himself thinks are ridge tiles but I'm not sure about that. They're glazed, a lovely deep rusty brown colour, thick and strong with a barley twist top. I'll take a pic.If anyone can put a name to them I'll know what to search for when I'm looking for ideas on how to use themBob the builder will be round in a couple of weeks ish he said, so I've time enough yet.
Anyway OT - sunny and humid and coolish at 16'c. Horrible warm sticky night last night here but the nights are to cool off, they say. Sunny and cloudy today, with a gentle westerly breeze. Temps climbing next week again thoughHang in there 2p, summer is coming!

They’re about 6 inches high and weigh a couple of pound each. Other than muck there’s hardly a mark on them. Any ideas what you call them so I can search for inspiration…? There’s 18 of them.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.7

My "Aunt" in Reading had them along the path edge, and I always liked them, as well as the Huntley & Palmers broken biscuits.

Yes that's what I was thinking about Farways blackberries. That's a heck of a lot of apples are going to be needed.Blackberry and apple jam in the middle of winter brings back the feel of summer.Bluey I've seen them, no idea what they are for. Make a Mediterranian garden and use them as edging?Or little sit/pot shelves sticking out of your new wall?Car to the garage - it's sat in the sun so if it's what I think it is that may not start for them. And a long list of things to check.More movement in me but more cramp. That may be my muscles complaining about exercise or - not.Sunny but huge clouds forming from the wet and heat so who knows what next - table tennis if I can move (they're very tollerant) and then a bus to the swimming pool if I can so gardening will probably have to wait.Still haven't been able to mow the lawn and not enough rain to water - but I have fed some vital plantsOne box of chicken poo left in Morries. Do I buy it for myself or for a friend who'd like it? Moral Dilemna

Thanks very much, eager boy at the back! You can put your hand down now
Funny they should be called that, that's what I was thinking of doing with them, edging something. Not enough of them for a path, but possibly the sitooterie I haven't fully planned yet. We only got them cos they were warm from the sun and lovely and smooth with a good heft to them. Better looking at it than for it, after all.

Bright & sunny this morning, cor didn't it rain yesterday?Tipped down forever, so much so my normal Friday feed & water will not take place, very soggy out there right now. What a posh Morries 2P, mine is similar style, but muckier & neglected as one would expect, dead plants, plants on their sides and left where they fell, perhaps next time I'm up there I can get Compare & contrast photosVery odd car starts in cool weather, normally that is when they don't, due to damp in the “works”In past times I'd say it's fuel problem, evaporation of petrol, but in these fuel injected days maybe notThe rain has done some good, from the bedroom window I can see my runners are in flower
, Yay, and also the hibiscus. Photo time once it dries enough.

Evidently that’s another thing I’m wrong about cos I don’t see anyone doing it already… makes sense to me though.I was advised to drink lots of water to make them swell up, seems to work, and I may have said before, the Vampire herself is also a rubber vein sufferer so knows what it is like. She is not a stab around until she gets lucky type. The place I get my car[s] from is one such as you describe, but they do have ex crash ones, not rolled, over crash, more bent door type of crashVery busy and popular, helps that so far seems honest & far from Arfur DaleyMy Merton Thornless blackberry, had it since 2011, perhaps you're thinking of one I got for DD last year? What I do with them is stew & freeze, or jamIf it's jam then B & apple with my apples, here are some starting to swell, Champion, which is doing well this yearEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens8
