QuidCo and TSB Spend-and-Save

Looks like QuidCo are offering £50 cashback for opening a TSB Spend-and-Save account.

Go fill your boots!

See the other (long long long) thread about TSB and Quidco. For this you can't fill your boots as it's limited to 1 cashback per customer and even when you could fill your boots, Quidco were blocking people's accounts for "abuse" of the offer.

    More like QuidCon than QuidCo.

More like go tie your one bootlace for the cheapest bank bribe in town and even then mr Quidcon Transaction Integrity Manager Mark will be waiting at the end to try and snaffle your cashback.

Apologies I did not realise the older post also started to mention spend-and-save.

As I use TopCashBack for my main spending I can risk getting my QuidCo account blocked.

I wouldn’t quite call them QuidCon but I have had a fair few declined cashbacks for no good reason as far as I can see.

I did open a TSB current account for the cashback via QuidCo a while back so will risk the spend-and-save, especially given we will be losing all interest on the current account soon. :(

Got my money back from Quidco just fine.
Account not blocked despite 2 x disputes opened on non payment in the 1st instance.

  • Now that TSB have reduced their interest on the Classic Plus account, are people going to try and get this Quidco Spend and Save cashback? I know that the T&C's excluded people that already hold a TSB current account.

I've decided to give this a go and requested all my Classic Plus accounts to be closed by the online closure form. I was originally going to keep them dormant for any future switches, but I've done all the existing switches and still will have accounts that I can use in the future (i.e. 1st Direct, HSBC and M&S, now that the regular savers have reduced/been withdrawn).

I did the Classic account £50 last year in November and finally got that paid in April, so hopefully this will go OK.
  • My understanding is that holding a current account wouldn't exclude you from the quidco cashback but they had limited it to one application for spend and save account. I received cashback for a classic plus earlier this year and the spend and save has tracked with a payment date of I think April.

First sentence of the current terms, on Quidco's page about the offer, says (my italics):
You will be eligible for the Quidco cashback if you open a new TSB Spend & Save current account, you don’t have any other existing TSB current accounts and...
These are the terms as updated on 10th November. Your understanding may well have been correct when you took up the offer, but it's not correct now.

Yes, it's tracking for me currently so we'll see whether it pays out in a few months.

If someone is able to message me a screenshot of the terms prior to that apparent change would be appreciated TIA
