Property damage - no responsibility?

You have insurance, you will be expected to notify your insurers and put in a no fault claim. If you have legal cover with the van insurance they can assist with the excess recovery, if not you can use the small claims court to try and recover it.
Your insurers will probably chase their insures to recover their losses.

Take them to the small claims court as has been suggested. They might lie under oath and say that it was not caused by them. Lying under oath happens a lot btw. It will be down who the judge believes. An expert witness to back up your evidence might be hard to get, but you might be able to get an expert to report on the distance marks made by the fork tines are apart and compare it the distance tines on the forklift are apart, which will give some weight to your evidence. But if the fork lift model does not have a standard tine width, the expert will not be able to help you as he will not want to take measurements from the landlords forklift without the permission of said landlord.0
