How to get in touch with Google (for Google Pay)?

Options
I could use Apple Pay no problems.

Switched to Android and i can use my bank debit card but using AMEX just doesn't work at all.

Contacted Samsung (i have a Galaxy S10) who said i need to turn on NFC and it shouldn't be a problem. Checked and NFC is turned on. Samsung then told me to contact Google Pay.

Do searches for Google Pay contact but come up short. Try to find a Twitter account and there is one but no private messaging option.

How to get in touch with them to find out why i can't pay for anything using my AMEX card - and have to use the actual card? Thanks.

Amex should work with Google Pay
Evidently in practice it doesn't, hence the OP's post.

I've no problems with it working for me.

When you say it's not working, what exactly is the problem you're having?
  • Which one ?
The one that created the thread :D

But really though, i know it "should" work and that XYZ on the forum reading this will say "i have no problems" ... and wonderful for those people, but it helps me absolutely zero if Joe Bloggs has no problem. I can curl my tongue ... apparently not everyone can.

I've been on YouTube and watched how to pay with Google Pay and followed it exactly. Worked perfectly fine for my banks debit card but doesn't work at all for my AMEX card.
Thinking it may be a device issue, that's why i decided to get in touch with Samsung who basically told me to do what i'd already tried.

So since the obvious steps do not work (for me) something else needs to be tried. They've told me to try Google Pay (contacting) so that's my next step.

To be honest i haven't used Samsung Pay. I only use contactless once per week so i'll try that out tomorrow. If it doesn't work then it's another week before i can try anything else.

After being a 10 year iPhone user, i actually really like my Android device overall and for the time being don't think i'd go back. Their payment system seems very restrictive though. iPhone i double tap the home button (not sure what you'd do with a modern iPhone since they did away with the button) and my cards would show and i'd get to pick one.

With Android you can only use the default (unless i've missed something). So when you go in to a store and try to pay with a card that they wont accept, you've the option of getting your bank card out of your pocket (not the end of the world i know - IF you've brought your wallet) or faffing through the settings to make a change holding everyone up.

No i hadn't. I did try going through their contact section but you know them sites where you follow a load of 'fob off' links where you don't get to actually contact anyone? I was going down that path, which is why i came here.
    Thanks given.

You can pay with any card in your Google Pay wallet, Just tap on the app and pick whichever you wish to pay with if it differs from default.(They just swipe left and right).
As long as your phone is awake and unlocked (quick tap of the fingerprint contact) it'll pay with the default.

Thanks. There is also an element of me still learning the Android ways as i've been Apple'd for so long. :)
