I'm not reluctant at all, never been asked. My monthly for Bulb was: 989 kWh @ 13.58 p/kWh0

Really ????????????????/ My post on your earlier thread. (and again this morning)
"Have you got actual annual consumption figures from SP, UW and Bulb. ?
I was wondering what consumption figures you've been giving when you've switched. I hope not on the basis of DD, number of rooms etc."
You are aware the 989 kWh a month is nearly 12,000 a year - that's 4 x the average.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Figures direct from page 3 of 3 of my Bulb bill:
Energy 989 kWh @ 13.58 p/kWh £ 134.23
Standing charge 30 days @ 19.58 p/day £ 5.87

And the meter readings are ACTUAL or CONSUMER not ESTIMATED ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
These are all actual readings from our smart meter, read on the 30 September 2020.0

I believe PP do both fixed and variable tariffs.
If you've selected the variable expect the DD to be adjusted as the months roll on.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Yes, thats exactly what I was given, one rate in the summer months and another higher rate in winter, but both still less than Bulb.0

Today I checked my account and found that for the last three months I have been billed for £174.10 each month, yet I also submit meter readings every month and I get notifications that my smart meter reading has been used. I am also currently in credit for £522.30. Why is this happening, why are we being over charged so much? I've asked PP for an explanation and am waiting for their response.
I've checked out Account on PP web-site:
Our account, Product type is Variable, so why is the DD fixed?0 -
You've taken one month's consumption and multiplied by 12 to get the annual consumption. That logic is seriously flawed. It's as inaccurate as the spam job ads "Last week my flatmate earned £2000 from just a few hours work". One good week doesn't mean that they will earn £104,000 every year.Your usage will be higher in the winter and lower in the summer. You've given them what's probably an absurdly high figure, so they've set an absurdly high DD, it's as simple as that. The 'Variable' tariff means that the price of each unit and the daily charge can go up or down in response to market forces, there's no guarantee that it will stay the same. The DD is fixed only if you use the amount you've told them. It's not All You Can Eat, and if your usage changes so eventually will the DD. But that's exactly what you are seeking because it's too high !0
