You can get bricks made to your shape , with regards to cost however you would have to speak to a specialist , whether that would be cheaper than render I simply don't know
They are not normally cheap, but you can make your own by cutting 2 and resin bonding them together. This is the same as a lot of the brick cutting specialists do. The cut is best made with a table saw though. Years ago a mitred joint was sometimes used, but it does show a straight joint unless you blank it out with some coloured mortar.
You can make squint and dogleg bricks as well using this method. Stick some of the brick dust onto the join as well.

I'd go veneer bricks/ brick slips as a feature on that and any other corner.
    Something like this: https://www.brickbondsolutions.com/products/real-brick-slip-tile-mosaic/
They can be put onto the corner to hide the bad brick work and you can use a contrasting colour to make them stand out a bit.
Quite simple to put on for a bricky.

I was just making the OP aware.. The building regs for improving the thermal efficiency of a structure is a bit of an !!!!!!. You could improve insulation elsewhere such as the loft to offset the lack of wall insulation. Or if the cost exceeds a projected saving over (I believe) 15 years, you don't have to do the extra work.

Again my question stands, why on earth would you even consider building regs for a simple render job, would they even care?

Building regs are in place to ensure that work meets a minimum standard. It is advisable to know how the regs apply to any work being done. Compliance with the regulations does not mean that Building Control needs to be involved.

It's not a bad idea, but you couldn't use the corner bricks as they would be the wrong angle. You would have use the others and blank out some of the joints. The odd one does also have a habit of dropping off when used externally.
  • Thank you for taking the time to comment, really appreciate it. I’m going to get a bricky to take a look now I have all the info above.

That's disgraceful. Whoever did that should be embarrassed.
