Shared Ownership 100% Staircasing Land Register Issue

I am currently in the process of selling my flat, which was purchased through shared ownership. The 100% staircasing was completed back to Nov 2018. The buyer's solicitor has requested to reflect the 100% staircasing on the Land Register. My solicitor asked me to speak to the housing association's solicitor firm who used to deal with the transaction and issued the completion statement back to the time. My question is who should make the change? Is this a complicate issue ( I got 3 completion statements from y solicitor, housing association's solicitor and sales team.)
I am trying my best to avoid getting housing association's conveyancing firm involved as they delayed my purchase a couple of months when I first purchased the property..

Were you sent a copy of the updated land registry document when you staircased to 100%?0

The simple solution is to fully exit this thread (eg go back to the main housing board itself) and then return to this thread, at which point the edit button will be visible again1 -
A Land Transaction Return Certificate is for the stamp duty you paid.
The updated land registry document refers to the Official Copy of the Register of Title which you can get from Land Registry for £3 here https://eservices.landregistry.gov.uk. I suspect that the Register was not updated when you staircased to 100% and is something that your previous solicitor should have done. You do need to chase that solicitor to complete the registration process because without it, your buyer will be unable to proceed to purchase 100% of the property.

I previously had a shared ownership property which I staircased to 100% which is why I asked about the land registry document. I received an updated copy which removed all previous entries that related to the housing association having any interest in the property eg before I staircased, it said I couldn’t sell without their agreement. Your solicitor should have discussed this with the housing association to agree if this could be removed and arranged to get the land registry document updated. It sounds like this hasn’t been done if their solicitor is querying it. As you can’t go back to your previous solicitor then your current solicitor should be able to sort it.

So finally my current solicitor agreed to lodge the MOS, which officially removes the restriction from the housing association.. cost me 350 +VAT. I actually find out this myself as well through a call with LR, somehow this takes my solicitor a week..lessons learned, never trying to get cheap on conveyancing, you pay peanuts you get monkey..0
