Day 2/20 and the book's still at the store! Weather's been horrid, so stayed home. Will see how things are tomorrow and Sunday and head out then.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Day 3 of 18.
Today, in my rented flat, started with drilling noises. Then fire alarms going off. Got up to find out what the dickens was going on to discover 2 blokes doing some work on the gas boiler situated in the downstairs hallway and staircase was full of fumes. "Sorry", one bloke said: "I've finished working on the pipes now" as he wandered upstairs with a ladder to temporarily turn off the alarms that are hard wired into the electrical system. Go back upstairs to start the day to discover no water. The valve that turns off water to the area they were working in also turns off the water to my flat. Oh dear, they said: your landlord said the valve only supplied downstairs. "We'll be 15 minutes..."
Enough in the kettle to make 1 coffee and wash down my meds. Texted landlord who came round with some bottles of V0lvic. Water finally back on 90 minutes later. I decided maybe it wasn't a good day to leave the house as who knows what else could happen...
