Also, wont it risk more harm to the roof by someone climbing all over it to paint it? One slip and a few old tiles could be cracked?
My neighbour had his roof painted and cleaned, unfortunately it was by some cowboys. It looked really good and clean and then it rained and his loft got very wet.0 -
I've decided to paint our concrete roof tiles white to reflect the sunshine. This will keep our roof cooler, and therefore our bungalow cooler. This year may well be the coolest summer for the rest of our lives.

Decent loft insulation would have a much more noticeable effect - it works both way, it's not only to keep the heat from your home escaping through the roof.
As an aside, you do realise this thread is almost 6 years old?
