Stocks and Shares ISA - link with Cash ISA?
LoremIpsum
Hi,
I've had a cash ISA for quite a few years now (worth £15k at the moment) and want to move/convert it into a Stocks & Shares ISA. I don't want to do a lot of trading – but I do want to be able to buy and sell shares from time to time. When selling shares, I'd like to keep the money I receive for the shares within my overall 'ISA umbrella' so not to loose any allowance.
Is this possible? Or would converting shares into cash be regarded as "paying in" in terms of annual ISA allowance?
Can I link any Stocks & Shares ISA to any Cash ISA? Or would they both have to be with the same provider?
Thanks for your help!

Any profits made when selling shares funds stay within ISA wrapper as long as you don’t withdraw them from said ISA.You can transfer cash ISA to whichever stocks and Shares ISA provider you want (assuming this provider accepts transfers in).0

This comparison site could be useful. Be aware that although a few of the newer players are very low cost/free , there is always a possibility they will not all survive, as with SVS securities where people are still waiting to get their money back over a year later.
