I was helping my daughter navigate her way through some financial difficulties, using the resources available on MSE, when I stumbled across the information about mis-sold packaged accounts.  Years ago my bank insisted I must open one of these, but after I'd read the info here I realised I'd been had.  Long story short, I filled in the forms available on MSE, sent them off, and a month later got a cheque for £3,500.  This really boosted my new double glazing fund, and the windows have now been fitted in time for winter.  As you can imagine, I was dead chuffed.
