IKEA are sold out of PAX :(

I asked a local carpenter for a quote for a fitted wardrobe and he has quoted £2800. I suspect this makes sharps etc cheaper. It is not a difficult space or anything like that, just a 250cm wardrobe.
They were showing as not available when I was ordering mine, keep checking but if you go for just the frames you may have more luck. You just need to order all the interiors and doors. See below.

They will come back into stock eventually.  We're in the same position but I'd rather live out of boxes than give a penny to Sharps.

Have you got your quote from Sharps?  I'd love to see what they come out at.

I'll post a pic of the Ikea carcasses we've just had fitted later on today.

How much space have you got?
Rather than traditional run of boxes with innards  with filler pieces to make it look built in what about a decent walk in kitted out with a combination of rails shelves and drawers.

If I had space for a walk-in wardrobe I wouldn't need to be pinching pennies on a wardrobe.

Will keep you posted on here when Sharps give their quote. So far I am entirely put off by what I've been quoted and will have to just do with a normal wardrobe and some drawers :(

There’s a company called unflatpack They will build in your IKEA wardrobes, adjust the sizes, trim, customise etc so it’s like they are properly fitted wardrobes.
    https://unflatpack.com/

i had a quote of £506 to build in a 2m wide wardrobe trimmed to fit full height, with side infills etc.

ahh I see. They seem to be in Reading / London. That sounds like a pretty reasonable quote for the job.
