Money coming in tomorrow - which bank?

If I have a BACS payment arriving tomorrow, pension or interest from elsewhere, I can see it as a pending transaction (under tomorrow's date) in my app with first direct.

Lloyds does not provide this information in my experience, so it seems not all banks provide this.

What other banks give this information?

Thanks

Neither do NatWest. I have always assumed that pending transactions only ever referred to payments out, not receipts in.

No firstdirect definitely showing payments in (today is 29/09/2020) which is useful.

    The pension is due tomorrow.

Suspect HSBC is the same as the same underlying bank.

I can confirm I also get notifications of inbound pending future payments in the FD app.
  • I assume its something that all banks can actually provide but only a small number, for reasons unknown, choose to.

Monzo will make sure your salary payment is in your account the evening before it is meant to be, but they dont show pending in either.
  • Barclays shows my state pension, which is paid on a Monday, as available on Saturday. If payday falls on a Monday, that is also shown on the Saturday. But not during the normal banking week, wages due on Tuesday would not show as pending on Monday.
I came into this world with nothing and I've got most of it left.

Out of curiosity, in what way is it useful?  It presumably only applies to BACS payments (where the bank is aware in advance of an inbound transaction because of the multi-day processing cycle) but these will typically be scheduled on a predictable basis anyway, when they're pensions, salaries, etc....

Yes, when I was with Natwest and my salary was due on the Monday, it always showed Saturday. But not as pending though: as actual funds.

Suppose thats slightly different to what the OP is asking for here though.

NatWest changed that anomaly a few years ago.

I think I have read Monzo does this, too. Personally, I fail to see the attraction of this feature. I know when my regular incoming payments are due from my personal finance manager (AceMoney, but others are available), where I can see regular incoming (and outgoing) payments months in advance, not just 24 hours before they are due.
