Hi,
I am thinking about taking out a Stocks and Shares LISA. If in the future I would like to reduce my risk, would I be able to convert my stocks and shares LISA to a cash LISA and keep the government bonus I had accrued over time?

Yes, provided there are cash LISA providers accepting transfers in at the time.0

If you’re thinking of investing in property, go for the cash isa. Stocks and shares fluctuate massively, and you need to ideally be thinking of leaving the money for 10 years plus to guarantee returns. The stocks and share lifetime isa is the better option if you’re thinking of using the LISA for retirement. For a property purchase, stick with the cash LISA from the outset.0
