Anyone live in a cable only area use any other BB and Phone provider other than BT?

We are in a new house in a new estate which is cable only. The phone are BT Wireless Digital phones that hook to the wifi router with no phone points
Im looking to switch from BT but Im wondering whether we even have any options

We have fttp. I looked at other providers as BT charge an arm and a leg. The competitors charge both arms and both legs unfortunately.

Using the term ‘cable’ normally indicates Virgin Media cable, if you have full fibre (FTTP) and you don’t want to use BT, there is a list of providers , BT and the others that use Openreach FTTP on OR’s website

We use Smarty at our caravan, but it would need a mifi router. It's only standard broadband but has supported 4 off us, two adults on laptops and two children on tablets. It is inclusive of  unlimited  calls and texts.

Install a WiFi analyser app on your phone and take a walk around your development to see if any non bt signals can be found.
