Is it even humanly possible to be turned down for a SIM-only Pay Monthly contract?
Just curious....I overheard someone saying they've applied to every mobile provider and not one would give them even a SIM-only Pay Monthly contract.
But I thought it was basically impossible to be turned down? I used to be on SIM-only and I'm not sure they even did a credit check for it.

Yes if they want .But more likely a mistake in the earwigging .0

We were turned down for a mobile phone contract in 1999 because we were 'of no fixed abode'. We lived in Armed Forces married quarters at the time.0

Most networks do checks for sim-only contracts..so yes you can get turned down...We are not talking about Smarty or voxi which are more like Payg so they don't check.

Most SIM-only deals involve credit, albeit it at a lower level than a traditional deal involving a handset. Looked at that way, it makes sense that there'll be people whose finances are so poor that they are unpalatable to any company offering credit1

That makes sense. A few years ago my credit was unfortunately looking pretty bad with a handful of defaults. I was still able to get a SIM-only deal with no issues, but I didn't have anything other than the defaults on my history -- no CCJs, bankruptcy etc. Now that the defaults are 5+ years old I've finally been able to get a phone on a Pay Monthly contract.pmduk said:Most SIM-only deals involve credit, albeit it at a lower level than a traditional deal involving a handset.
