Loveholidays hell

They’ve literally offered me nothing and just told me that someone will call me. I was told their regulations are to not refund the hotel as I have chosen to cancel the flight that Ryan air offered meeskbanker said:
Yes, their resignation from ABTA doesn't affect their regulatory obligations so they remain obliged to offer you a full refund if they were unable to fly you close enough to the originally agreed schedule - I presume they didn't offer an acceptable alternative flight other than the rescheduled Ryanair one?laurenb1993 said:
Sorry another question. Will that still be the case even though they are no longer with abta?eskbanker said:
In which case, Loveholidays should accept that this is a significant change to the package, which obliges them to offer you the option to cancel for a full refund of all monies paid, under the Package Travel Regulations.laurenb1993 said:
We were due to fly out 19/11/20 @ 17:40 then they got changed to 20/11/20 @ 15:50 and have since been changed again to depart on 20/11/20 @ 11:35 so defo over 12hrs. It completely changes the dates of the holiday which is now not suitable for useskbanker said:What was the proposed change to the flights, i.e. is it significant enough to be categorised as significant by Loveholidays (12 hours I think)?
Edit: going back to my earlier comment, if Loveholidays are in breach of their obligations then your card company can help, so if you attempt to claim a full refund and they refuse then you can go for a chargeback.0 -
Edit: do you have a link at all that says about the regulations and them being obliged to give a full refund? You definitely didn't cancel with Ryanair though?laurenb1993 said:

Ryanair have emailed me with the changes and gave me 3 options. One of which is a refund which is what I’m going for. Love holidays we’re not aware of any change until I mentioned it and they asked me to update my flight Information which I didn’t do. I’ve had a quick look through the link but can’t see where it mentions changing the flight and being obliged to refund. Sorry if I’m being blind 😂0

Yes, you'd said that Ryanair informed you of the change but the critical bit is what happened next! If you went back to Ryanair and told them you'd take the refund rather than the changed flight then that would jeopardise any refund from Loveholidays, as they'll be able to say that you chose to cancel the flight without involving them. On the other hand, if you didn't respond to Ryanair but went to Loveholidays and relayed what you'd been told by Ryanair, asking them what options you now had, then Loveholidays are responsible for either arranging an acceptable alternative or refunding you.laurenb1993 said:Ryanair have emailed me with the changes and gave me 3 options. The key is that a substantial change of flight times is deemed a significant change, which activates clause 5 about your choice whether to accept the change or reject it:laurenb1993 said:I’ve had a quick look through the link but can’t see where it mentions changing the flight and being obliged to refund. Sorry if I’m being blind 😂and then in turn clause 8 clarifies that if you reject it they have to refund you:(5) The traveller may, within a reasonable period specified by the organiser—
(a) accept the proposed changes; or
(b) terminate the contract without paying a termination fee.
(8) Where—
(a) the traveller terminates the contract pursuant to paragraph (5)(b), and
(b) the traveller does not accept a substitute package,
the organiser must refund all payments made by or on behalf of the traveller without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days after the contract is terminated.

Not wishing to be the bearer of bad tidings but does look like OP has done exactly what my daughter did (even though I advised her not to) and gone ahead and dealt with Ryanair instead of Love Holidays, which, as Eskbasker says jeopardises the whole thing..
I agree it is mighty complicated and my daughter panicked into following Ryanairs instructions instead of ignoring them and waiting for Love Holidays. The result for her is that she has both vouchers for Ryanair AND Love Holidays and there isn't a thing she can do about it as (long story) but inevitably what she agreed to, all brought on by contacting Ryanair first.
I do hope you have more luck than her Lauren, I really do but am not too hopeful about it with Love Holidays.
Edited to add; Daughters hotel was closed at the time which is why she got a voucher from Love Holidays. If your hotel is open - not sure if they will even offer that t.b.h. Ouch! Sorry just preparing you for the worst.0 -
We have a holiday booked to florida x 7 people on 30th October... we have been trying to change the dates with love holidays since june to no avail. If we cancel will we be entitled to our flight with british airways evoucher from loveholidays as we fall in the dates to receive a evoucher from british airways or do we lose all the flight money.....0

Ryanair said they refunded our flights which were booked through Loveholidays. We found this out about a month ago. The flight was for June 2020. However despite LH stating refunds for flights would take 5 days after they received the refund from Ryanair, guess what? No sign of it. Probably too late for chargeback as waited patiently for the refund. No way to contact them no physical address although I suspect a complaint letter would be a waste of time. Riding roughshod over consumer rights and nowhere to go as more than 120 days now since I paid for it? Feeling very let down. Unbelievably I see people are still booking holidays with these people!0
