Harveys Furniture - Insurance - please help

Good Afternoon,
Please can someone assist me with informing me of the rights I have in relation to a situation that I'm going through at this moment in time?
In June 2019, I purchased a sofa from Harveys Furniture in their Manchester store - with the sale, we also purchased the sofa insurance. We paid a deposit at the store (the receipt does not show the last 4 digits of the card used so I cannot work out whether it was a credit card or debit card - but will work on this) and the remainder of the balance is financed through Creation Finance.
Two weeks ago, a spring popped out at the side of the sofa. The spring is extremely sharp and dangerous and nearly cut our dog! We called Harveys Customer Service and was informed that they had gone into administration - and therefore, I managed to press a few options to try and get through to someone - I was on hold for 2 hours! I went on to Google to try and find the insurance company they use - I contacted two and none of them have a record of insurance being registered, despite me providing the order number. I was told to go back to Harveys - I sent Harveys an email attaching the receipt and I have been waiting two weeks now for a response - nobody is replying to me. I have just tried calling Harveys again and currently sat on hold for another 2 hours!
Please can someone assist me? Having read literature online, I believe that I can make a Section 75 claim if the deposit was paid on a credit card - however, I can also see that I can make a claim against the finance company? Is my understanding correct? If so, then if someone can please give me a steer on template letters etc, then that'll be great. If my understanding is not correct, then can anyone advise where I can go from here? It's extremely difficult trying to move the dog away from the area!
Many thanks.

Yes, the finance company are jointly liable, so contact them.
Can you wrap or cover the spring with something to protect the dog?1 -

Sound like negligence-4

buffness - just to warn you that Creation Finance have cropped up on the Consumer Action Group website and they seem to be quite well practised at attempting to avoid any s75 liability (or are completely ignorant of consumer law) so you may need to be persistent if you pursue themBefore either Harveys or Creation accept any liability I suspect that you will need to get an independent report saying that the spring broke because of an inherent fault in the sofa when you bought it, because it's over 6 months since purchase. (If I'm wrong about that I'm sure I'll be corrected).0
