Is it down for anyone else? I can log on on the website but not the app.

I had no issues on iOS yesterday nor this morning.

Still not working 6 o clock this morning. Went into app store and all it showed was OPEN.

Just tried again and it showed UPDATE.

Updated the app and it now works.

Obviously updates are sent out in batches and i had to wait for my turn.

I think there is an issue with the App Store - on my Apple devices, the update page doesn't always show an appupdate is available even though it is when you check the app individually.

The app never told me an update was available either.

Mine is still not working even after the update. This is a known issue as per FD Twitter, and they are working on a fix.

Edit: Received another app update (4.3.6) just now and the issue has been resolved.

The app must have been down for a reason - I went on to the first direct site just now to look at opening an account in order to move my savings from Marcus to first direct, therefore needing to open a current account. The site now says that their current account applications are CLOSED TO NEW APPLICANTS. So First Direct Bank is no longer available for people looking to switch. Great!!!!!!!!!!
