I have sympathy in these situations where rent is up to date - you’d think that a landlord would have similar sympathy given the circumstances. Why evict good tenants?Keep the rent up to date, as you open up other avenues once you fall behind.

Perhaps the LL has themselves suffered a loss of income i.e. job related. Needs to liquidate their investment. Nothing personal just business.mattyprice4004 said:I have sympathy in these situations where rent is up to date - you’d think that a landlord would have similar sympathy given the circumstances. Why evict good tenants?Keep the rent up to date, as you open up other avenues once you fall behind.

Is your tenancy properly regularised? Did you receive all the correct Prescribed Info? GSC? Deposit protected? How to Rent leaflet? EPC? If any of these are absent or not in order then the notice is invalid and the LL will have to regularise, then reissue your notice, and this time it will be 6 months. So that's the first thing to check. If this turns out to be the case, and you sit tight beyond the end of your notice, then eviction would be many months after next March when your new notice period would end.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Really? What ground did they use for Section 8?

Because as the OP stated at the start, the landlord would like to see their property.mattyprice4004 said:I have sympathy in these situations where rent is up to date - you’d think that a landlord would have similar sympathy given the circumstances. Why evict good tenants?0
