Returning a kitchen - they are saying it’s bespoke

Ok but I don’t understand why it’s bespoke to have a soft closer. It’s one of the options.
    So why did you say:
    Yes soft closers

Did you request anything additional to be fitted to the units other than the things in the drop down menu?
If soft closers were a selectable item?
Sorry I have no idea what you mean.

I can’t remember the process and I’m not on a computer to go through the process again. I just don’t understand why a soft closer makes something a bespoke product.

Well how do you expect us to give you proper advice if you don't give us proper information? 🙄

Did you type in the words Soft Closers into a form field? Or did you tick a radio button/checkbox to select that option? The former would be a bespoke requirement - the latter would be a selectable option.
  • These are the terms and conditions btw Diy-kitchens.com/terms-and-conditions

    Oops that page is missing

Yes, it looks like the same link but it seems the trailing / is important. Nothing there seems to answer the question as to whether anything in your order classes as bespoke. From your latest reply above then soft closers do not count as bespoke ... is that what they told you as the reason for not accepting returns?

Hi I can’t jump on a PC to check about the drop down menus.

I suspect they are considered bespoke because when I go on the site and cancel the order, it doesn’t let me cancel the doors/draws. Another poster commented on the soft closer making the product bespoke.

The other poster was wrong ... if it's a selectable option then it is not bespoke.

    I stand corrected.

Having just looked, it used to be a separate option at the end but now appears to be a tick box.

In which case, legally you can request to return it, and you need to pay return postage.

Why on earth didn’t you request a door sample?!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

I often find it’s pointless explaining myself on forums so I will respectfully decline.

Ok. I will give it a go tomorrow with returning. What do I say as a reason, or is none needed? I would change to a much darker graphite colour if they stocked it :(
