Blimey, £400!!! Thats horrific! That Halifax DMP thing sounds mad as well. Aren't the things we have to deal with cr*p sometimes.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

We've paid off £160 over the last 16 months, now they've stuck on £140 in three months  Useless...
I thought £400 was pretty horrific, we aren't at risk of flood at all, modern house, good area - weird isn't itNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Thats so discouraging, the Halifax thing, I'm sorry to hear it.
The flood plain issue. I wonder if they weight all new houses, given that there's so much in the papers about new houses being built on flood plain - maybe they just tar them all with the same brush? The lower quote is much better, obviously, and esure are pretty okay, aren't they?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
They are a pretty big reputable company so I think it must be right, the only thing is doesn't have that our current cover does is £500 fridge coverNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Grrrrrr at the Halifax - don't let it get you down hun, just keep swimming.
Do you need the fridge cover? Is it for food spoilage? Usually, unless you keep a lot of fresh/frozen stuff, the food cover isn't worth much, because by the time you have paid the excess, you could have re-bought everything that was destroyed anyway (and you would also have made bucket loads of OS ready meals from the stuff that defrosted!)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Yeah it's for food spoilage up to £500. It's not really worth it since we have a fridge/freezer and a separate fridge and freezer , so could probably just shove it all in one unless it broke down in Dec/JanNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Gemmzie, are you going through Quidco for that insurance? Esure only offer £35 cash back but its better than nothing.0
