Password Manager for Apple devices

I currently use Apple's Keychain password manager on my Apple devices and have no problems with it.

However, I see that there are other password managers available for Apple devices (LastPass, 1Password for example) and I wondered if someone could tell me if there are any further benefits to using one of these?  I can't see the point myself, so perhaps I'm missing something?

Please bear in mind that I'm not a techie when you reply!

Yes, but why?  What does lastpass give you on your iPad that Keychain doesn't?

dcm told you why - "1 size fits all".

    It works on all platforms.

Yes, I understand that but you still haven't answered my original question.  I don't need to know it works across all platforms, I know that. I already said I only use Apple devices

So, if I already use Keychain password manager, would there be any extra benefits in using LastPass instead?  If so, what would they be?

Well it's in my original post but since you are only here to score points, then I'll ask elsewhere. I was under the impression that people were helpful on this forum but it seems I am wrong.  By the way, 'never mind' is two words.

Although keychain has been criticised for its weaker two factor authentication (2FA) compared to rivals and was expected to improve that (they did add warnings about weak, reused or possibly compromised passwords to IOS 14 which was another feature they were missing) I would expect the main reason people are using third party password managers on Apple devices is simply because they also use non-Apple systems which as you've mentioned is not the case for you so it's unlikely you're going to see much benefit changing.

    It isn't.

The ability to use it on my Windows desktop and my Android phone and every web browser I use. With Keychain you can only use it with Apple devices you have which is not much good if you have a non-Apple device and you want a password for something.
