Flight cancellation

In August 2019 I booked 2 flights with easyJet to fly in November 2019. Four days later easyJet cancelled the flights (no reason given) and offered alternative flights 2 days earlier or 2 days later. I contacted my hotel, who refused to move my dates. I therefore booked new flights with Ryanair for my original dates, and claimed the extra cost from easyJet. They did not answer correspondence so I took easyjet to court and won. EasyJet had to pay for my Ryanair flights.
Has anyone else suffered like this but took the hit?

Did you receive compensation for the Easyjet for the cancelled flights in addition to the cost of the Ryanair flights - or are you still out of pocket on the original booking ?
