Hi all, I'm currently sitting out my 12 weeks garden leave after a traumatic redundancy after 28 years at the same company and now find the coal fire on all day is working out at £42 a week. There is no gas as we live in a old weavers cottage on the moors with spring water. Just wondering if there is any help or grants for the unemployed as regards to oil or other heating. My partners is still employed but my industry now requires me to be qualified with degree or hnd even though I've done the job for 30 years as a tech specialist and coal soon to be outlawed so finances non existent can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

Green Grant scheme?
Just made redundant after 28 years, so you should have at least 28 weeks redundancy payment, plus possibly holiday pay and pay in lieu of notice to come shortly? No free lunch, and no free laptop1
