  • Of course you owe them.

An error doesn't get you a free car!
When did i say i want the car for free i dont remember writing that you must of read a different thread!!!!!
If you read what i said i am not prepared and cant afford to pay an EXTRA £465 a month ontop of £299 i already pay.
I have 3 years left on the car therefore it would still be cleared even though this was there mistake not mine.
Yet its our credit that has been affected
  • Oh and can i just point out i couldnt work through covid but my husband did and he covered everything and not once did we have a 3 month or 6 month break with these idiots
  • If the OP had not come back and replied I would have said it was a troll.

It does not matter whether he checked his statements or not - he owes the money - end of. Enjoy the £100 - have a day out.

If you cannot get a loan for the balance of what you them then you can always sell the car and pay them the money back.  Start again with someone who is able to administer your car finance without making a mess of it.
thankyou for your constructive feed back!
Its nice to know some people dont judge.
No-one is judging you - you do what you see fit, what people are doing is criticising you for poor money management 😣😣

You should have that money, i.e. the missed months payments sitting in your account, well in your husbands. If you haven't got the money in the account then you & your husband need to look at how you manage your money.

They are not asking you for extra.  They are asking you for what you should have paid.  Your anger should be directed at your husband's poor money management not BMW or the posters here that are offering you sound advice.

However, you did manage to dispose of an extra £3,000 without noticing it...
You have effectively been given 6(?) months free credit on the debt and £100 more off in compensation, I don't see what more you can expect? You need to make them a realistic offer to recover the arrears and do some negotiation: so far you appear to be offering nothing extra.
Am I right i thinking that you have missed 10 months payments of £299, totalling £3K?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
