    Not had any issues with purchases registering although I almost always have a reduction in the bill total (even if it is only a few pence) so that the cashier has to tell me the reduced amount as confirmation that the "card" has been recognised. 
    Yes I'd only really be annoyed if I had lost out on a coupon reduction. It's just weird as it definitely made the chiming noise. That said this is the first issue I've had since the app launched last year. Think I will actively ask the cashier if it has scanned from now on as confirmation.

    If it made the 'chiming' noise, I'm surprised it hadn't scanned and maybe the cashier thought it had scanned as well. The problem I've had on a few occasions, is that although the app scanned, weekly coupons were not applied even though they were activated before going to the store. Also, £2 coupon for £100 spend not applied. The latest one was a couple of weeks ago. I emailed them, they said they would extend it for another 7 days. However, it was still not applied the second time, so have emailed again.

    Edit: Just noticed on my receipt it says "download the Lidl Plus app to save on your next shop", so it must've not scanned at all. I would've thought the cashier would tell me nothing had scanned if they had to wait for me to wave my phone over the app scanner before paying.
    Lots of times and I have missed out on price reductions as well.
    I have scanned the 'card' and asked if it had gone through OK, been told yes then foolishly trusted things but not checked receipt while in store and found out later that even though all was good in the shop, it had been bumped out again for some reason.
    Complained to services and instore but told that 'nothing we can do about that'

    Interesting to hear. Will be keeping a close eye on app/coupon related purchases from now on. I think previously I've always been more focussed in store on checking my green/orange sticker reductions have gone through, which they always have.
