You will be able to reject it based on that however it will not be simple or quick.Kmam1986 said:Yes I have a bit of remorse from buying this car I agree. I jumped into the deep end, too quickly buying this vehicle.I don’t actually mind paying £24,000 for a brand new car,However, not for one that’s gonna give me trouble. It’s more than the radio actually, it’s the whole infotainment system.Plus I was on a holiday the first occasion this occurred, And struggled to get home with no sat nav. How does a car do software updates? I mean, I genuinely do not know and never heard of that other than for Tesla. (I don't know how the Tesla does it either.) Is the software update just when you get the car serviced?ontheroad1970 said:Software updates are normal procedure for cars now. My car is far less technical than the new Golf but it still has a regular software update.0 -
I'm not sure it's VW's fault that you don't know where you live...Kmam1986 said:Plus I was on a holiday the first occasion this occurred, And struggled to get home with no sat nav. (Just an example)
If you really couldn't find your way home, and didn't have your phone with you, couldn't you have spent £2.99 on a road atlas from the nearest petrol station...?1 -
That won't work. The insurance on cars less than 6 - 12 months old usually pays out to deliver another brand new car of the same type. All the OP will be left with is another car they do not like, still making the payments and increased insurance premiums in the future.TrainDriver said:If you hand the car back and refuse to pay you’ll destroy your credit rating and won’t get another car on finance for years.
Your best bet is to do an insurance job on the car or you’re going to be paying for it until the end of the agreement.
If you do decide to torch it don’t tell anybody what you’re up to and don’t singe your eyelashes.0 -
And a criminal act that if caught would give the OP a lot more to worry about than paying for a car they don't like. Idiotic suggestion!Grumpy_chap said:
