    Vegetable peelings? I also think waste disposal units are only useful in a flat where it's a pain to take the waste out every day.

    When using a waste disposal unit, what happens to the minced up food?
    Does it simply get flushed down drain? If so, surely this can't be good for the sewerage system due to the problems of "fatbergs" becoming more and more common.
    Water companies hate these things as it contributes to messing up the treatment systems.
