BT Broadband Signal Problems

Been with BT on Halo 1 for a while with no issues.  However last week we had a couple of days with weird internet connection problems.  My PC connection is direct wired to router, everything else is either wireless or homehubs.  Weird issues were that my wired connection went down but wireless was up.  Router solid blue.  Then I was OK but wireless down.  All this an issue as two of us working from home.  OH trying to teach students with additional needs online.  Added issue is that Open Reach are swarming around our town at present upgrading the fibre.  They I have been informed have a getout clause of the end of this month.

I phoned BT who said they can see no fault in my line.  I can see from social media that others in the town have had issues recently including neighbours.  I point this out but BT cannot confirm or deny it.

They suggested adding complete wifi to package so as to get the disc for upstairs.  I do have connection issues with wifi in bedrooms.  I agreed new router and disc arrived.  Signal issues no longer present (they went away the next day) but disc does nothing.  Weak signal.  Back to BT who blame disc and are sending out another.  I'm still in 14 day part of contract so if new disc is equally as useless its back to old router.

Anyone any experience of the discs?

Had similar problems .

One Ethernet cable .

Two swap Ethernet port  and a week later change router ,fixed .

Bt Router event log showed no incomming problems .
