Missed/ late payments showing whilst in DMP

I have 2 outstanding credit agreements currently being paid whilst in a DMP. They payments are made monthly via our money distributer however they show as missed each month so my credit file looks horrendous. Is this correct? Or wrong reporting and can I have this changed.?
One is shop direct- very and the other is clydesdale partner finance. Our DMP started in 2013 and most of the accounts were defaulted so have dropped off despite still being paid. Its been a long slog and we are almost there so to see the accounts that remain look almost like we have done nothing is dissapointing.
Can anyone shed light on how I move forward?

If it’s behind on payments then it’s the correct way to report it0

Its not behind. Its paid each month0

The monthly amounts repaid was entered into a legal written agreement (scottish DAS ) so thats disappointing I've kept my payments as agreed. I would have been better letting the account default and it would have dropped off by now. Seems like trying to do the right thing hasnt quite worked!

How so, though. If you were keeping to your payments, why are you having to have a new agreement?RosP_3 said:The monthly amounts repaid was entered into a legal written agreement (scottish DAS ) so thats disappointing I've kept my payments as agreed. Are you being entirely straight here, you’ve never missed any payments on your original agreement, the one that you first signed up to?
i just can’t understand why you have a DAS if you hadn’t falling behind.

The damage is done once you get behind on your original contracted payments, as specified in your original credit agreement. Its that agreement that gets reported to the credit reference agencies, the arrangement you have now is entirely seperate to that, and is listed as a DAS in the public information section of your credit file.So unless you make up all the missed payments you had on the original debt, then your file is been marked correctly. As you say, defaulted accounts drop off at the 6 year point regardless of anything else, entering debt management or the scottish equivilant as in your case, too early, before default, produced AP marker`s or late payment marker`s, which will stay 6 years after the debt is settled.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. The other accounts show as payments are being being made on time (on my partners file ) so its strange to have different companies reporting differently
I always like to think this is a place people share from experience and not speculation. Im looking for advice and if you are qualified to give it and tell me that these reports are correct then thank you ill accept i can do nothing about it0 -
If I contact the companies would they retrospectively be able to default the account or do I have any options to have them amend the file at all by paying additional paymentssourcrates said:The damage is done once you get behind on your original contracted payments, as specified in your original credit agreement. Its that agreement that gets reported to the credit reference agencies, the arrangement you have now is entirely seperate to that, and is listed as a DAS in the public information section of your credit file.So unless you make up all the missed payments you had on the original debt, then your file is been marked correctly. As you say, defaulted accounts drop off at the 6 year point regardless of anything else, entering debt management or the scottish equivilant as in your case, too early, before default, produced AP marker`s or late payment marker`s, which will stay 6 years after the debt is settled.

Im looking for advice and if you are qualified to give it and tell me that these reports are correct then thank you ill accept i can do nothing about itMy experiance is that I have been insolvent twice in my life, both times not of my doing, i`ve had Debt management plans, a Debt relief order, and an IVA, i`ve been a debt advisor for ten years, i`ve been there, seen everything, done most things, and got the tee shirt, I don`t profess to know everything, but what I do know comes from my own experiance, and not from Google.Scottish law differs from English Law in a number of areas, what I told you is correct in England & Wales, but your partner may not have been as behind with payments as you were, everyones own debt situation is unique, also things may also be done differently North of the border in terms of credit file reporting. If you remain unhappy, then by all means submit a written complaint to the creditors concerned and ask them why your file is marked as it is, you can always ask them to default you and backdate that default to the start of your arrangement citing not been treated fairly as a reason why. Some folk have been successful at doing this.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
