Tesco won't let me book another slot

I have one delivery slot booked on Tesco and I need to book another one about 3 weeks ahead, but now there are no "book a new slot" buttons, and although there is a box that says you can book more than one slot as long as they are not on the same place on the same day ... it won't let me book anything, only change my present booking, which is not what I need to do.  Has anyone else had problems? I haven't been able to get through to a live person on the phone. This is a big step down from the service they were giving just a few weeks ago. We are a listed vulnerable household so I need to get deliveries.

Try again once you've had your next delivery. As those that were shielding no longer need to then there will probably more available slots now.

Shielding is no longer in play (for now) therefore you are free to go to the shops yourself whilst taking sensible precautions.
The other alternative is to get someone else to do your shopping for you or book a slot
You may be in a group that is/was classed as vulnerable, but currently, it affords you no special privileges

It's one order per week. T&Cs state if you've recently made an order you may not be able to see future slots.

Under Covid 19 > Is there a limit...

AFAIK it's been like that for some time.

Are you using the app? Little calendar button on the top right (next to the profile button) lets you book a second slot. On the website there's a button in a similar place with 'book another slot '. Are they just not there? The app one is not obvious it's for booking slots, if you're not familiar!

HI Good people, thank you for your thoughts.  But I know these things, we have been using Tesco for months, and I don't want more than one order a week, and there are plentry of slots, but it won't let me book any, even 3 weeks ahead. We've had no nofiications. There is still the paragraph saying that it's one a week max, and still one link saying "book another slot" (though the clear ones, that were everywhere) are all gone. I haven't made a booking recently. Nothing from Tesco.

Have you tried going directly to the slot url, if the buttons have somehow disappeared? It all works fine for me, and I don't really understand the problem you are describing.

  • Three weeks is a while away, try booking closer to the time.

Your OP says you have an order booked currently, which may be why as per the Tesco FAQs you can't book another yet, even for a different week.

Is there a limit on the number of delivery and Click+Collect slots I can book each week?

Yes, we’ve introduced a limit of one order a week, which means you may be unable to see future delivery slots if you’ve recently made an order.

  • If you're vulnerable household & there is another lockdown I would imagine that the supermarkets would reinstate the priority list.

That's just not true anymore, their faq needs updating. I have four slots booked currently (and have since March!) - and I've had more than one slot in a week recently. I last booked for four weeks in the future on Wednesday and can book another slot today for tomorrow if I'd like to.
