    I've just opened one of these directly with Paragon, as it's still available to existing customers and I already had an ISA with them.
    As part of the application process, I chose to make the opening deposit via my nominated bank account (already set up for the ISA) and, as you had to enter the amount, it appeared like Paragon would be able to take that automatically but that doesn't seem to be the case judging by the subsequent info giving instructions on how to make payments.
    Before I do that, can anyone who opened one of these directly with Paragon (so not through HL) confirm that you have to make the initial deposit manually yourself ?

    I believe so. The request to enter an amount was I imagine so that they could have some idea of how much could be coming their way.

    Yes, and you have 28 days in which to make that first deposit.

    How low can we go!!!
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    This is not investment advice.
    Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."
