does she have any other health issues ? it would be unusual for someone with a colostomy only to be classified as disabled
Disability classifications can be very broad. There are a number of conditions with no outward signs but eligible for radar key.
A disability is where something has a significant affect on your ability to live a normal life. In some cases a radar key is offered because a particular person might not be able to queue for the normal facility, opposed to them needing the extra features which a disabled toilet offers.
And in the case of emptying or changing ileostomy or colostomy bags being in a cubicle with the basin ready to hand can be of great help otherwise their is a risk of having to open a cubicle door with dirty hands.
