CEL taking me to court???

Hi lovely people. A Notice of proposed allocation to the small claims track has just come through the post. How CEL have got to this stage is pretty annoying to say the least. The letter states that i have to complete the enclosed questionnaire and file it with the court office. Any advice to fill it in because it also offers a mediation service?
This is all new and alien to me, i suppose i'd like to have my chance to look a CEL employee in the face and ask !!!!!! is going on, but without any counterclaim ( i should have), i guess this is another waste too my time and energy.
How do i put this to bed??

As per usual go to the NEWBIE sticky and look at the second post.  All the info you need is there including how to complete a DQ (N180).  Do NOT accept mediation - the NEWBIE explains why.

MEDIATION
Not suitable for this.  It involves a 3rd party on the phone and who knows what their experience is. The outcome is likely you would lose

HEARD ON PAPERS
This where a judge looks at both sides with no actual contact.  This is dangerous for you as you have lost your voice ... NOT ADVISED

You require a face to face hearing, a 3 way telephone hearing or a 3 way video call

CEL can take this right up to the last minute and then discontinue.  That is not guaranteed though..
They are aware that their claims are generally poor and can expect to fail.  Why arethey  proceeding ? well all parking companies are in dire straights right now due to covid and most are chancing their luck

Thanks for the comments, the Form 180, I have followed the instructions on the Newbie thread, made a copy and will send it off to the courts, do i have to send CEL a copy too? (quietly fuming here!)

Yes you do. It tells you that on an accompanying letter.

At every point, re-read the advice under the red heading IMPORTANT - KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN in the NEWBIES thread.

You need to be expecting each stage. 

Don't go thinking defence is your only job and missing your WS & evidence stage, or agreeing to the case being heard on the papers or any such rookie errors that the NEWBIES thread coaches everyone to easily avoid.

Hi folks, 
I have a 'court date' on 1/4/2021 because of this idiotic company ignoring the fact that i entered their 'area' twice to drop family off, I never parked there, there was no parking infringement. They have ignored appeals, in fact everything, and perhaps i'm a lot wiser now and would have responded differently, but here we are, 4 weeks to go to this 'court hearing'. (Covid?) 
I have just received an email from these idiots with a 47 page PDF : They now want me to send them £125 as an out of court settlement? Their email simply reads.

 "Dear Mr .........,

Please find attached our witness statement with regards to the hearing scheduled to take place on 01/04/2021.

What do you mean, "what is my next step"?~ You know what it is, becaause 
- you have a court order telling you what you are required to do, that will eb the order setting out the hearing date
- the newbeis thread tells you to prepare a WS and exhibits
When is yoiur deadline to file and serve your WS and exhibits? My guiess is "soon";

We need to see their WS, or at least first AND last page PLUS the contract
DO NOT REDACT ANYTHING FROM THE CONTRACT. NOTHING AT ALL. IF THEY HAVE REDACTED ANYTHING, EXPLICITLY STATE WHAT THEY HAVE REDACTED

Have you:
1. Requested the ANPR log for all entries/exits
2. Requested details of the maintenance log for their ANPR system and whether it has been recalibrated since
3. Used Google maps/your cars GPS navigation/your cars telematics to explore whether route information can be obtained to prove it was elsewhere
4. Served a statement from any other third party who can say that you met with them in the alleged parking period in your car

Don't just call them idiots or assume that you'll be believed when you can potentially produce quality evidence to put them to the sword.

CEL often withdraw without bothering with a  WS so they must be more confident here!
