When I read the OP's starter I assumed TUI had sub contracted the return flights to Jet2 - the hotel was still under TUI contract ?
I assumed the hotel had terminated its contract with TUI and would be Jet2Holidays next year (and that the OP had found this out somehow) hence my response.

The OP could be interpreted either way though, and given they’ve not been back I’m not sure we will ever know!

The hotel have confirmed the contract is with Jet2.

Surely that can only be a good thing - much better legroom on Jet2 than TUI!
Given that both airlines operate the same aircraft types in very similar configurations, that could be down to perception.

That's how I interpreted it as well.
Given all that is going on I can't see that a holiday in August 2021 will be a priority in the eyes of TUI at the moment.

I do not know if they both have the same style of seats in their respective planes but we have always noticed that the Jet2 planes have more leg room.
  • It's our perception as well that Jet2 standard legroom is more than TUI.

Jet2 were early to adopt slimline seating, and theirs are very slim indeed.  TUI have slimline seating too, it's not the same seat as Jet2 though, and I think TUI were slower to adopt and fit them.

I've flown both and can't say the difference has ever struck me, but the consensus seems to be Jet2 is better!

I've flown on both Boeing's and Airbus with Jet2. I believe they lease the Airbus from the military.

Jet2 is the only aircraft we do no pay for extra leg room seats ,i know this is a money saving site but when you pay a lot of money for a holiday we like to travel in comfort even if it costs a bit more ,the worst plane we have travelled on was a Thomas Cook Airbus ,although only shortish haul ( Egypt ) it was a pain in the bum as my legs where hitting the seat in front and could not put the tray down without it hitting my stomach and before every one says it i am not that fat :D:D:)

The OP only posted once and never returned despite seeking advise and help. This thread can probably be allowed to die out.
