Hi, i have booked a holiday for August 2021 to skiathos through TUI but the contract has gone to Jet2. So I have now only paid my £150 I want this back as they aren't going to that hotel and I don't want an alternative. The hotel have confirmed the contract is with Jet2.
I rang customer services who were insistent the holiday was.going ahead and they were very rude and told me to shut up
I am furious. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks im advance

Are you saying that TUI will no longer be going to your hotel because TUI and the hotel have terminated their contract? In which case, TUI will at some point get in touch to formally advise you of this, and offer you options. Be advised that package holiday T&C's do allow the tour operator to move your accommodation to one of the same facilities and rating, in the same resort, so I imagine that's what TUI will offer.1

Also bear in mind your holiday is 11 months away and given all the current turmoil your case is in no shape or form a priority for TUI to be dealing with, if you agree with this or not. Be patient.
Also this isnt "misselling" in any way shape or form. Contracts expire, terminate or are renegotiated all the time and you will ultimately suffer no material loss if this is the case.1 -

Did you book this on TUI website or one of their (few open) retail stores ?

Check TUIs terms and conditions. I would expect there to be a section in there which says they can substitute another hotel of equal or superior rating. If that is the case you can either cancel now and lose the deposit, or wait to see what TUI actually offer closer to the day. I'm aware of tour operators this year insisting that a particular hotel was open despite customers having contacted the hotel direct and being told they are not opening this year. Until and unless TUI cancel your holiday you will be the one to lose out if you cancel.Unfair? Certainly, but there is little you can do. TUI may claim that they are still in negotiation with the hotel for next year.1

"Told to shut up" possibly translates as the person on the phone saying "Would you please allow me to finish".

I've had an ongoing telephone "relationship" with TUI over the last few weeks - calls to a store and different admin people elsewhere - they've all been genuinely helpful and civil etc.0

You say the hotel is not the one you booked yet you contacted the hotel direct and they have confirmed details for you???Mags - who loves shopping0 -
When I read the OP's starter I assumed TUI had sub contracted the return flights to Jet2 - the hotel was still under TUI contract ?
